Koi Sock Nets

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12291

Custom designed to protect the long delicate fins of Butterfly Koi and ornamental Goldfish during selective catch and release. Simply grip the tapered end to close, gently dip and scoop to capture, then open your hand to safely pass your koi though the other end when done. One-way passage prevents damage to fins, scales, or slime coat. Silky-soft netting and padded frame ensures abrasion-free capture, while the wide wooden handle gives you precise control. For quick transfers, breathable Fine Mesh net lets water drain out. The Ultra-fine Mesh net has a much tighter weave and will not pass water quickly to keep koi suspended for longer observation, dosing, and transport. 12" Handle x 12" Net x 40" Depth.

Those nets sound super gentle, as long as caution is taken with those huge barra spines.

Best of luck and a steady hand when transfering Li! :)
