Mine comes up and eats pellets too but I only use floaters he's fearless haha even with 5 sunnies in there he gets more pellets than he needs. But that food elevator (that's what I'm calling your invention lol) is a good plan for making sure he gets enough food.

Very cool, can't stress enough how underrated natives are. what are the plans for them?

I totally agree. Natives are the most fun. I built a koi pond for koi of course but now its mostly native species

Got my crawfish! Didn't have to go out trapping, lfs had them for $4. Gave him a cave, which he usually resides in, but he'll venture out once he smells food. Missing his left claw, but he manages just fine.

Dag, that's a lobster!

The pumpkinseed messed with him when he was first put into the tank, but has since ignored him. The little one-clawed guy got quite a bit of moxie in him because he didn't back down from the pumpkinseed's pestering.

Will the missing claw regenerate?

It will eventually but it'll have a weird little claw for awhile lol
