New project, will take a long time

I always thought the irony in that phrase was intentional. :p
I know, thanks for sticking with the thread, I appreciate it. I know a few people hate the unfinished long diy threads because they expect to find an end product at the start of the read and things did go really quick at the start and nothing much has happened since the shut down which I did post at the time.

Thanks again

Yeah well, the project is yours, not everyone elses. Anyone who's done a large magnitude project like this themselves and on a budget knows how long stuff takes. I have WAY more unfiished projects than finished ones ;)

Ain't that the truth...I got lots of starts...only a few finishes...but I like to think of them as "future finishes"...it make justifying the wasted money so much easier...

glad to see things have started going again I hope you get your camera back soon and thanks for the updates. these long term DIY theads are great for me cause its always interesting to see all the ups and downs along the way and also to see you come back after the winter break we all know there are threads out there that die completely when the weather changes. keep us posted

I just showed the OH this thread, then a short while later suggested getting out of rented accommodation and think about buying our own house... she knows whats coming! Love the pond!

Ahh... Just read this thing, 22 pages @ 40 posts per page helps. Anyway, looks awesome, and makes me want to grab a shovel, although the black dirt here in Iowa is a little more forgiving than clay!

I'm not doing bad at the moment on unfinished projects at the moment, the pond will be a work in progress for several years to come, yes it will be finished but added to over the years, plus top grade koi are not exactly cheap. Phase 2 will have a bakki shower included but that's way down the line and Mrs Y won't even discuss it, I have planned it out though(it's been raining):naughty:

The only other unfinished project I can think of at the moment is the river tank that's not moved since I bought it, granted I've no where to put it;)

Thanks, glad your still reading:)

I see so many big projects that go on and never get finished and just end up with 'updates', 'updates' etc. I'm still subscribed to a few that I'm sure will get finished and one a really want to see done:)

Thanks, I thought it was best to reply to new posters in the thread separately.

The house is the most important, bad times out there for people trying to get on the ladder. Hope it works out for you and you get one, settle in and break out a tequila's shovel and start digging. I'm glad to your inspired:)

Thanks again

It's been a while since the thread attracted a new beginning to end reader, granted there has been about 10 post in three months;)

Glad you enjoyed the read, keep subscribed and you'll see it finished.

Thanks for taking the time to read about it:)

What the heck man??? I expected this to be done.

Dang DIY'ers with their unfinished projects. Oh....wait....I guess that's me too. :D Screw 'em, we finish when we finish. Keep up the progress. Makes me want to build one REALLY bad. The wife has to keep talking me out of it.

Snow wind and rain don't encourage me to work outside:)

And no Zen that's not an excuse to post a picture of the sky;)
