Thanks for the support, everyone!
Jake was fine when she was still groggy because of the surgery, but he's not nearly as good with her when she's "full energy".
He went after her yesterday with the intent of guarding my daughter Shelby. Hagan and I both corrected him. Sasha ran behinds Hagan when she gets scared. It's kinda cute. He's 119 lbs and she's 21 lbs.
Right now, Sasha is kept in the bedroom when Jake is in the house and let loose when Jake is outside or in the bedroom.
I don't think all is lost. Something I have to keep in mind is that it took over a year after we signed the papers on him for him to play or show any excited behavior. He takes a while to adjust so we're going to let him adjust slowly and when he shows friendly behavior toward her (which eventually he will), all will be good.
The issues are originating with Jake. She is reading him well. When she approaches him, she's very submissive and even rolls on her back. He'll still growl when she's showing submission. That's too dangerous for me to trust with a correction. Forcing him to accept her will result in her getting hurt or Hagan and Jake getting into a fight because Hagan will protect her. I'm not willing to take that risk. Although I hate keeping members of my pack separate from the rest, Jake is only safe around her when she's in her pen.
