Greetings, I've recently caught an interest in rays and am currently seeking one. I've been fishkeeping for 8ish years, and this will be my first encounter with any ray species. I've done extensive research and combed through many old Ray threads on Mfk, but I would still like to know if I'm missing anything. Any tips and or tricks would be much appreciated! Always want to stay informed about new species regardless of previous experience.
perhaps teacup rays?

in reality I'll just have to see what I can get my hands on.
I also should set up a dripping system for my tank, anyone got any good setups?

All you need is some 1/4 hose ( I used some dot nylon air line from Napa) ,a drip emitter and a pressure regulator with an adapter to 1/4” hose.. The trickiest part is to get an overflow on your sump to a drain or something. I tied into the hot and cold pex lines under my house with a shower valve set at 83 from there I run 1/2” pex to my sump where I tee it with a valve at both ends. One ties into my tank return for water changes and the other has a hose faucet on the end with the pressure regulator screwed on and the line running from it to the drip emitter. Then you just dial your drip to your preferred nitrate level.

how do you dechlorinate the water? is it added in or is a ro unit required? i also don’t run a sump. my tank runs on 2 fx6s and maybe the drip system might not be plausible. is there any alternatives i can do?

Forgot to mention I run through a carbon filter. You could probably put an overflow on your tank maybe. But If you have to drill the tank (saying it’s not tempered) you’d be better off switching to a sump anyways

Could you PM me some pictures of your setup and how you ran it?
