hi guys!

i noticed that many of you are looking foward to build your own overflows. personally, i don't really like the PVC models that i've seen on this forum till now, but that is just personal preferences.

i thougth i should show you what someone on another forum made. it's quite simple and man, it looks nice. that's what im gonna do as soon as I receive my tank. the only problem is that this overflow MUST be installed before you put all your fish in there...you'll see

and if you are willing to, you just hide it behind a foam arrangement

and the final product, we don't see PVC pipes running into the tank and the overflow works to perfection! admire

hope it gave you some ideas, it did for me!

tanks to OB for letting me share his nice work!

aight peace!

hi zennzzo! i don't think so. i see it more like this:

but i could be wrong. however, i really think this is a part where there would be spirals and maybe some big dirt parts would deposite there

Yeah...unless it was really easy to clean, it could be a place for unhealthy water to stagnate...just my thoughts...

I like the design a lot. I would put a couple of drains on the bottom of the tank where the "dead space" is and drain all the deposited gunk during water changes. For people with a substrate, maybe the intake on the bottom could be raised by a couple inches. Would this design drain the tank during a powerloss?

nice looking set up.... a check valve on the water return inlets will keep them from back flowing
