Not a MONSTER, but here's my Convict

Convicts are so "last week"...everyone's got them, or has had them...nothing cool or trendy about them...

...so everybody forgets what wonderful little fish they are! Reasonable size for almost any tank, active, interesting behaviour, stupidly easy to breed; perfect beginners' cichlids.

@GTkeeper , what else is in your tank? A 75gallon containing a breeding pair of Convicts along with their offspring would be a terrific tank.:)

One of the most underrated cichlids in the hobby to me. Everyone looks past them cause they’re so easy to get.

I've ALWAYS overlooked them for sure.

In the 75g; the convict, a GT about the same size, 8 fatass skirt tetras and a gold nugget pleco.

Does anyone have any big convicts? The fish is so majestic once they are fully grown, but since they are such ridiculously slow growers, many people don't have the patience to keep them that long.
