A few months ago, I hatched out a bunch of blue catfish egg masses:

After stocking nearly 20,000 into county farm ponds, I have a surplus of a few hundred:

The parents went into the kitchen. These egg masses were collected during noodling trips.

Regretfully, all of the flathead fry (~12,000) were lost to a viral infection.

The Blue catfish (Icatlurus furcatus) is a mid-water cat that's always on the move.
