Here an update on my fish adventure, thus far.......Started with a silver arowana.....still with egg sack attached to his gut. after about 4 months or so I tossed in a baby clown knife.....time came around when I need some else to take care of them and I had a friend at a high end sushi joint that had a 480 gallon tank ready for display....so, off I went to Japan...Came back to Hawaii and a little time goes by....I just got done cycling my 180 gallon tank and I got the phone call.....they were relocating and needed someone with the know how to take the fish.....considering that no one else had a home for it I decided to take them back...I guess they were ment to be back with me.....eventually I can upgrade tanks but for now...They are home....these things cost a lot of money here on my island......everything here is shipped by barge or plane.......cost of milk and OJ is $8....a fluvel 405 goes for $400 instead of $200 and a 480 gallon tank goes for $7,000 new here....they were acually selling the tank with a wet dry filtration and stand for $5,000....things are not that fruitful for me to invest into a tank like that.....let alone the space here at my condo.....anyhow, heres some pix from my adventure....both are now about 2 feet long and are getting along fine....they are also about 2 years old. They grew up together and should be fine...I got good enough filtration and water agitation....along with doing weekly water changes. Enjoy!
Here is my jar at about 9 inches. It is in a 125 with the following tankmates: 3" flagtail, M/F pair of 5" Cr. lucius, 5" marbled goby, 4 bichirs from 4-6", 2.5" gold saum and 10" BGK.
