Yes. I'm in my third year teaching right now and just cleared my credential last year. I just talked with HR and the credential specialist told me I can move up in the pay bracket now, just need exactly 12 units of grad credits to move my pay scale of having a masters. I'm looking around to actually get a masters though rather than just 12 units. But yeah if you have any questions regarding this career, I'm all eyes. I would love to share my experience and stories.

thats awesome. I have a couple teacher friends that I've been harassing for a while to make sure i have all my t's crossed. there is three alternative certification programs here. two of which I'm interested in. because i graduate in may i plan on sending out a ton of resumes in january and hope a high school takes some interest in me. from what I've been told, i should've have too much trouble finding a job. however, i might have a little of trouble finding a position that allows me to teach what i want to teach.
what grade and subject do you teach?
My current assignment is 8th grade science (Physical sciences). Although my focus is on Biology (HS), with my science credential I can teach middle school 6-8th grade science as well as high school Biology/A.P/other courses related to Bio. I'm sure you'll find a position somewhere as a number of teachers are retiring as the years go by.
