Actually I just visited New Mexico! It was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Hello; Back in the late 1980's my father got it into his head that he wanted to move to Deming NM. So I drove him from Indianapolis IN so he could have a look see. We spent one night and he had had enough.
Not sure our timing was typical. There had been a lot of rain across the near areas of Texas and NM right before we got there. Creeks running full as we drove thru the area near White Sands. When I went out for a run the next morning the desert was in bloom around Deming.
I did talk him into stopping by Carlsbad Caverns as we left the state.

I was in my midteens a buddy ofine came down to visit the old folks. We took there car out for a spin. Somehow ended up in the desert. Got stuck almost spent the night....wasn't fun. Too Brooklyn boys stuck in the desert lol

Yeah, a few recent rains had everything in bloom! I was expecting a windy dust bowl.
