Either way it sucks someone lost their son over something that could have been prevented. Not being judgmental but where were they in all of this ? The kid obviously had issues. Do you guys know what their story is ?

Lmaoo well my wife just cursed me out over this. I asked her about it and before i got a word out ( G rated version ) i was told she doesnt want to here my legal mumbo jumbo b.s. adding some choice words about the girl.... and me

Lol, my husband and I got into a disagreement yesterday about a legal case in our state a few years back. Not a crazy argument, but we didn’t agree on the charge.

Yeah we argue (not fight) over this stuff all the time. Its especially difficult a certain each month....she usually wins those discussions lol
She chose a weak person and applied long term pressure to get him to kill himself, while posing as a friend. I would bet that the success rate for such a thing is quite high, while probably not technically manslaughter, imo it is worse.

That might be true of the girl but the prosecution would have to prove she befriended him with the goal of eventually causing his death. Im no lawyer so...
But thats where the grey area bothers me. If they could prove that her intentions were to cause his death and the words were the "weapon" the charge should have been murder. They never would have gotten it, not in a million yrs. They did get the lesser charge to stick but it doesnt fit the crime.
