Earlier today I read about a family that was saved from a gunman by their Labrador. The guy came to theur home to confront them over accusations that they'd made against him.He pulled out a pistol and started firing at family members and their dog sprung into action and attacked the shooter.
I was going to post about this but from what I understand is that 3 family members still got shot.

Yes,they were shot in the legs. The dog was killed.
Maybe not puppy power...

I can't help but to wonder if the dog made a difference to how the attack went, like if it would have went better or worse without the dogs presence.. I guess we'll never know and should just be thankful that there wasn't more damage done.

The owner said that while the gunman was shooting the dog was jumping at him. She felt that he would have had a clear shot if the dog didnt intervene

That answers my wonderings. Heroic dog saved its owners lives even if he did lose his own.. Dogs can be such amazing creatures when raised properly.

This is true. We have a neighbor that is completely irresponsible with her dog. A few weeks ago she tried to call our little lap dog over to provoke her dog to attack it.

What sort of moron does that? What could she possibly gain from doing that? Aside from the obvious punch in the face from your wife if your kids were to see it lol

The last area I lived in almost no one looked after their dogs. There was always lots of dogs roaming the streets, many of who were aggressive. It drives me nuts when people are purposely irresponsible with their animals.

She hates us lol always had problems with her and her partner. She'll even let the dog off the leash to roam. Even though the dog is nasty and bit someone. I told her point blank the dog comes near my kids or pet she'll be digging a grave for it in her backyard.

And that's fair enough. My ex told the people who lived across the road from us that he was gonna kill their terrier thing if it came in our yard again, the stupid mutt would try and attack my cats while they were in their pen to the point where the cats wouldn't go in the pen for a month or so because if it, that's when my ex cracked it. Best part was the guy who owned the dog called the police and when they arrived they fined him for not keeping his dog confined.

Hello; On the same theme but different topic. Sunday afternoon I drove the 24 miles to the nearest Lowes (big box hardware store) on a good two lane highway. Speed limit is 55 mph and I was running at about 62 mph. A car came up behind me but did not pass. The car followed for several miles and did not use several straight stretches to pass.
When I get to the town limits the road becomes a four lane and the speed limit goes down to 40 mph. I slow to 45 mph and get in the right lane. The car keeps on at speed past me, around 60 in the 40 zone.
Some have already guessed it. A city police cruiser was positioned to see this and promptly pulled out and pulled the car over. Around here 15mph over the speed limit can be a big ticket depending on how the officer writes it up. Sometimes they will give a break and write it up for only 10 mph over if you cooperate and act right.
