I've been promising my Oscar that I would fill his new tank tonight for two nights, and tonight was the night.

Not!

I got all the plumbing done and was ready to re-set the tank and check contact and level.

Then I realized I hadn't painted the back, and I'd used all my black paint on the office tanks.

I started looking at twelve shades of blue to turquoise, plus a tube of pewter, thinking it would be enough, but I was pretty sure I'd like the color. What I was more sure of is that it would be custom as hell, but also that I'd never match that color again if I scratched it.

I decided to wail til Monday am, and go to Walmart for black paint.

I went overboard on the drainage for my 300L tank. (I'm quoting litres to make it sound larger. ;) )

I wanted something my Oscar couldn't damage: 1.5" ABS. I did not think any fish
I ever caught could either. But I bought the Sched 80 valve to fit, and it was pretty valuable at $65+tax. You could club baby seals with this stuff.

Did you bring any fish with you or will you be starting all over?
We took all of them with us. Everyone made it except the little dat. Weird thing is he was fine the whole trip down and the 2 days we stayed at a hotel. Stable through out the whole ordeal. Didnt check on them for a couple of days after we moved in but did a complete water change the 1st day. Found him belly up last night

Are you an official resident now? How'd the tub of fish riding shotgun go?
Yup. Ratchet straps were the mvp for this little fiasco. Did get soaked a couple of times on i 95 though

That's pretty funny. Glad you didn't have to make a panic stop!
*SPLOOOOSH!*
Many cars have a computer under the seat. Don't get it wet!

I backed my boat into the lake one day, and while I was looking to see how far I was in, a rogue wave kick 2 gals of water into my Pontiac Bonneville. The car still ran fine, but the airbag system was toast.
