X-tank may be able to shed some light on wild ones growth and pictures, as they were obtained about 3" size and grew rapidly under his care as well. And for Xingus looking like Kim Kardashian, if you could do that you'd be god in my book, combining fish and women! all fish geeks fantasy!
Would be nice if xtank can post some pics for comparison.
You want Kim fantasy then mine comes closest because mine has the biggest.......eyes.

As a soon to be first time CIchla keeper I wanted to Thank you guys for making a thread like this, to inform ( teach) Proper
Cichla keeping , I have read soooo much and have spent Countless hours the past month reading anything to do with Cichla , I still
do not own a single Cichla , I have put it off so I Know that I am informed as I can be before hand instead of learn as i go

I did send snookin a pm about a quote and will place an order soon but I know I am ready, with this thread having tips from
alot of the "godfathers" of Cichla posting up information showing that Cichla keeping is so much more then a casual hobby it is
actually a Lifestyle I don't think I can be more ready

In the air and I ain't comin down!
So right off the back I have noticed that it has benfit the Xingu extremly being in the tank alone with out any other sp in with them. Also there pecking order has picked up. I have alway's noticed two of the 5 alway's seperating. But there is one that I hand measured the appearing biggest is a brut. I really do like these little ones there showing great sign's of growth but have not started eating like some of my older bass that I also feed live and Jumbo.
