FLUVAL FX-6 is good for up to a _________ gallon tank. I know the box says 400 gallon

I have been shopping for something tank wise between 240 Gallon and 300 Gallon.

Is one FX-6 adequate, or 2?

I would also have circulation pumps to keep the water moving.

I would recommend two as well. Im running 3 on my 230 gallon with peacock bass and rays in it. It is probably over done but I can clean one really well and the others back it up. They really don't move the water they say they do.

I don't care what that box says. I say 1 for every 100-125 gallons.

I run 2 on my 220. I couldn't imagine running just one.

I'm not running a canister, but based on the responses it seems the advertised capability is almost doubled of what they can realistically or efficiently handle? I generally don't like to over-run any equipment either, so this is good to know.

i run a fx6 and a sunsun 304b in my 220g and still feel its not enough. House to only 2 arowanas, a flagtail and a pleco.

I do the same on a 180, plus a trickle sump with 10 gallons of bio balls and still feel it is inadequate. I am pretty well stocked
