Snapped a quick pic. You can. See his added girth, hard to tell length without something to measure him against. Will say love the way this guy is a fearless eater and comes out when I enter the room.

I had a 17 year old rhom that died. Got an aimara that jumped the tank and died, then gatf. All within 8 months. The aimara in this thread is still with me.

You are right, from the filter to the tank. The emitter just plugs into the airline. It’s not really airline but similar tubing that’s used for fridges and other applications. I think is 1/4in tubing so you just get an emitter that works with 1/4in tubing which is most.
Did you submerge the emitter or does it need to above the water line

J jaws7777 I submerged the emtter. I don't think it really matters. I just made sure that it is secured so that it does not fall out of the tank. It is awesome having a drip system. I feed this guy pretty daily and heavily, and I have done 1 gravel vac in the 5 months the tank has been setup and my nitrates stay under 20ppm. That never would have happened before. I was struggling to stay under 40ppm when doing weekly 40% changes.

He is about 12in now, averaging a little less than 1in a month. I am hoping to get him to 18in in the next 9 months and to 2ft by the time Ive had him for 2 years.

I think they have gotten slightly better but nothing major. The holes on his nose are a bit more covered up but all the other scarring is there. I think as he gets bigger it proportionally gets smaller.

Doing well. Giving him a mix of krill and silversides soaked in viatachem with Massivore as the stable 3-4 times a week. I thought about northfin but didn’t like what I read about the high level of preservative in their food that can be highly toxic.
Good to hear you are adding that for the fish. Thanks for the heads up on Northfin. I heard from a lot of people it is good. Well Massivore is a much better product. I have like 4 bags hahahaha.

Well yesterday was one year for me having this guy. It’s been a bit of journey but all is well after those early battles. He seems to be doing well and I really like his personality. Below are some picks. I believe he is between 13-14in, which means he has gained 9-10in in one year. I attempted to take pics with a ruler but weird angle makes him measure smaller than he is. I also wanted to post a feeding video to show how bat crazy he goes when he sees his white plate of food. That will have to wait for another day.

The other good news is that I have finally put a deposit for a 8x4x30in tank that I will be setting up in June so stay posted for that.
