ill go meet those manufacturers when i visit my relatives this summer

most aquatic systems in china are actually relatively nice and are extremely clean in look.

+1 for Chinese aquariums

I don't personally buy too many aquariums, but a friend recommended Aquarium and Terrarium Builder on facebook? (only place I could find him)

they are located in yorktown VA
I was supposed to go to Guangzhou in June, visiting my wife’s family but I have work commitments. I’m definitely going to get a custom tank built there 3000lt next time I visit.

I selected other since I see that fishtanksdirect.com has the same 670gal Tsunami for $50 cheaper than Aquariums Direct USA / Tsunami. Other than that both vendors appear to offer a similar range of tanks & aquarium supplies.

Another brand I considered was Glass Cages.. I can't remember why I chose Custom Aquariums instead, but it must have been a good reason due to the increased costs of Custom Aquariums...

growing up in more rural parts of china, i never saw too many complex aquarium system. definitely changed when i moved to a larger city though.

miss walking down the street and finding loads of asian arowana IMG_4445.jpegthis is just one do the many show tanks i saw in a popular guangdong aquarium shop

A couple things I wanted to mention about the Custom Aquariums tanks.

The tank rims are wide, in fact so wide I had to cut out a notch so that I could fit an Aquaclear 110 on the 65B's, would not fit otherwise. I taped the aluminum so as not to scratch and used a fine metal blade on my jig saw and it came out perfect. Just cut it for a solo Aquaclear which works well for me.

The same wide frame issue was happening with the 300g. The FX6 rim connectors would not fit. With that I did not have to cut into the tank frame but modified the plastic connectors to be able to fit. The other choice would have been to make custom pvc parts.

Wanted to also mention the silicone, the Custom Aquariums stuff is thick and has not had any issues unlike a much newer tank by Aquarium Masters.

You will not see this issue on a Custom Aquariums tank. The silicone is thick all the way to the edges and seem like some hard core commercial grade unlike the Aquarium masters tank that is having issue after about 3 years. My Custom Aquarium tanks are going on about 8 years and they look awesome still.

Just the shear size and number of options. Literally 100s of manufacturers all competing.

My 135 custom acrylic (8'x1.5'x1.5') was by truvu
Outstanding customer service. They worked with me to get it drilled for the filters and when the shipper took it off the pallet and broke it, they worked with me and insurance to get a replacement super quick. Shout out to Scott!
