well he doesnt nip at the oscar now and i hope it stays that way, hes too busy chasing after the small gold fish my sister put in there(which was only supposed to be temporarily in there) i will def keep yall updated on the behavior of the oscar and african cichlid, just go to my profile. if it doest work out with them ill prob just get a second tank. thanks for the welcome barracuda!

Once either sexually mature... You're likely to have some major issues... particulalry if any of your africans turn out to be male.. I've seen Oscars destroyed when kept long-term with africans more then once... it works until the fish mature and start stakeing our territories to defend. The only time I've seen these combos work long term where in large tanks where the fish had ample room to spread out.
well when i get the money i do plan on getttin alot bigger tank how can i tell if it male or female
I have had excellent experience with Oscars and Polleni Tilapia!
Color has alot to do with it though. It may not work as well with a "black" oscar, as it may appear as another Tilapia to the Tilapia and get a beat down!
