Oscars preparing to mate or just showing off territorial behaviour?

IMO . . .and I am no Oscar expert, having just one . . .If they circle "sniffing butts" and then pause, at the same spot "on the clock", repeatedly, they are mating. I have only seen this in video with Oscars, but this is typical mating behavior for cichlids and bass.
 
its the norm for 2 Oscars cruise together like a said, here is a vid of my buddy pair, they layed eggs bla bla bla, they just Oscars schooling together. that is what 2 Oscars in a tank big enough for them do. and yes in the vid that is a jag. F1 female before moving her. she was suppose to be fish food from my WC pair, she had other ideals.

going through my fish vids, I am hankering to spark a tank again, Oscar tank. up stairs in my bedroom. thinking a 180 or so. love my birds but i miss my Oscars. For those not know I droped fish and went birds.
