It really looks like it would hurt. I'd be concerned about infection as well. Think she'll get a tattoo to cover up the scar? Or just keep the scar to tell fish stories for any potential suitor's? Time will tell I guess.

That was my first thought when I read this also. That would be awful if a cut that bad got infected...

Nice looking cuda! I've swam with them before, they're more curious than menacing. It was probably going after a fish when it launched itself, hence the open mouth.

The marlin impalement sounds painful and terrifying.
