OUTDOOR POND, ALL PIC'S

Please pardon the leaves and algae covering the bottom. As soon as the water warms up a bit, I'm gonna get the net and get out there and clean it all up. Although the fish do like to nestle down in it to hide quite a bit...

I have 7 koi, 3 shortnose gars, 1 spotted gar, a bunch of feeder comets, a bunch of fathead minnows, and two red eared sliders in the pond at the moment. I have a 14" blue channel cat I just picked up today that is waiting in an aquarium in the house until the water warms up enough to release it in the pond.

The pond is 3,500 gallons.

Yeah. One of the houses we're looking at has a small pond in back, but its dried out and will probably need to be completely redone, not to mention enlarged. Might think about putting a pond in wherever we move, but maybe not :).

its around 2000 gallons.
easy to make. 21' x 4' x 4'
just some comets and 8-6" koi for now.
the build is on the pond section posted last night for details.

Conner

Those comets are going to outgrow "feeder" size pretty quick!

;)

Conner, are the shortnose gars Kentucky-winter hardy? I am thinking the spotted gar (aka FL gar?) and the blue channel cannot be, can they?
