Panaque L191, 55 gallon with Convicts

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks, are they common or are they rare/demand a hefty price tag?

I have an L-114 11 inches. I bought him on-line for $405 with shipping. The cons would not harrass him with his hooks and spikes very long. Big psuedas are very difficult to find and as you can see very expensive. The liitle guys hide a lot when small and will not touch algae as they are carnivourous. Also cons would harrass the hell out of them. If you like your cons then get a sailfin or common. Make sure the pleco is larger than the cons by a lot. Convicts are probally the toughest cichlid for thier size.

Thanks, I will most likely end up with a sailfin, I will (hopefully) have my 135 up lonf before he outgrows the 55.

I will see if the LFS can get 4"+ L114s for a decent price, if not then sailfin it is.

Thanks for the help
