My personal take is forget about finding a true Giant Mekong Catfish. They are tittering on the brink of extinction and there is some farming activity, which is unclear how successful it is. Watch special reports by Zeb Hogan. No one appears to have access to the farm raised ones except research institutions and maybe major Public Aquaria.
If someone says they can only sell you GMC in no less than quantity of 20, I find it laughable... and sad too. Boy do I want to be wrong but until proven otherwise, I'd say there is no person in the hobby that keeps a GMC.

Vincent thinks he does. I'll believe him when the fish breaks 5'-6' mark. Which for a true GMC shouldn't take long, in 2-3 years. They are debatably the fastest growing FW fish on the planet.
