PETA, really?....?

Having looked at the website, the obvious intention is to get people to stop eating fish,oops seakittens, and other animals. Apparently eating other living creatures is wrong. Since "seakittens are so intelligent, and I personally feel that most people are not, I am starting up a sister campaign. I would like everyone to sign up and start teaching all animals, includding seakittens, not to eat each other. There will be world peace. Once achieved, we work on those veggie eaters. Plants are alive and have rights too. Now I just need a webdesigner to get this going. Who's with me?

How is this thread allowed open? I mean, I'm fine with it, don't get me wrong, I'm just curious, as most PETA threads last about .0284 seconds.
i'm all for stopping animal cruelty and stuff, in fact i'm even a vegetarian (although i do eat fish) but this **** is just too much
if fish would feel pain in their mouth region like we do, they obviously wouldn't pull away after being hooked...i mean, would YOU try to escape with a hook in your moth tied to a line?
also, most fish (esp. sea fish like tuna) live a happy life in freedom before being caught
this is just about the opposite of how the cattle/pigs/chicken eaten by people live...from the second they are born, their life is ****, they live in small cramped pens and die an early death...they never had a ****in chance, which is why i don't eat meat anymore
peta are really ****ing idiots, why don't they concentrate on eliminating japanese/chinese animal cruelty like bug battles, whaling, bear farming, cutting up and eating live fish and all that sick stuff instead of trying to help fishes who don't need any help anyway?
that being said, i do believe that fish in aquariums should be housed in appropriately sized tanks and fish caught for food should be given a quick & painless death
also, care should be taken with commercial fishing, or certain fish species WILL become extinct in the next few years

theyve done a few things recently that pissed me off. the first was that they *****ed at brittney spears for having an elephant in her video cricus. they claim theyre mad because the elephants are ripped from their mothers at a young age and prodded with metal rods which is a little extreme. i know this does happen in isolated cases but come on...really
the second was they showed up at my lfs before they opened. i was there because i live there and the second they opened the doors the guy goes "hello im from peta. were here im here to check on the treatment of your animals so ill need to check and animals you have in back and any on display and youre walking through with me" thankfully, the manager told him he has no right to tell him what to do in his ****ing store and hes not going in the backroom because its for authorized employees (and me) only. so like i said, theyd just opened up at like 9 in the morning and we hadnt had a chance to check on any of the animals yes. well, there was a hermit crab that died overnight and we hadnt seen it because we had only had time to open the door. the peta guy found it and had a ***** fit. he was literally screaming about how hes gonna shut them down and theyre gonna protest and have a pickett line in front of the ****ing store!!!!!! i told him he could **** himself if he thinks hes gonna do anything hes gonna have problems and he hasnt shown up with the paint throwin crazies but if he does im goin home and putting on my silk shirt, leather pants, lambskin leather jacket with silk lining, and a fur hat and telling them if they touch me im fighting back in self defence because these people have taken it too far just for attention and its pissing me off

but the *****ing about the hermit crab is just stupid...sure, it's sad that it died but millions get eaten every day in nature or die from something else, for all we know it could just have died of old age
earth isn't some fluffy wonderland where everyone lives together in happiness
animals are killed, whether by other animals, nature forces or man, get used to it, petards and do something useful instead of *****ing (like the WWF, they don't ***** half as much as PETA, instead they save the rainforest and stuff)
