My daughter hand feeds her dojo loaches all the time and they literally jump into the palm of her hands. They also jump into the net when I’m trying to catch a different fish. Definitely not smart but they don’t seem to mind, and maybe even like the interaction. Wouldn’t let her do that with a sun cat
