There are fish in there that you WILL NOT find in LFS in Philadelphia area. There is a 6ft inground pool with gigas and koi. I don't think the prices are out of line (especially this isn't really your normal LFS). All I can tell you is compared to the Chinatown store, this is many times that.
This is a place that I havent heard of and I will be checking out tomorrow, thanx for the headsup.

So I stoped by Giant Aquarium and it wasnt a waste of time. The inground pond with the pimas also have the biggest koi that I have ever seen.I was suprised that there were no datnoids at all in the place since they heavily carry most of the fish that seem to be popular with asian aquarists, lots of brands of fish foods that I have never heard of.

did you find any shops in chinatown?
I only went out to check out this one on Tasker, the Chinatown store is on Race at eighth or ninth. You can easily walk past it if you are not looking for it as there is a small sign attached to the rought iron railing that leads down the stairs.

what kind of fish did they have and whats the address on race
Both stores mostly have flowerhorns, parrots and silver aros but Giant Aquarium has other types of cichlids and cats and a good looking stingray but the giant Arapaimas are an attraction on their own.Not sure of the Race st. address.

both of the chinatown stores are now closed. You guys just missed the closed out sale last week.

Have not been to south philly since they don't have anything that impress me the last time I was there and I am not into koi. His price is too high imo.
