this is my old w/d idea,it smelled bad and didnt work that great.

so i changed it to this.
cant smell it as bad and seems to work good "so far".
i just compacted it to one drawer and sealed it in the tupperware.

1 layer of felt
1 layer of filter fiber
1 layer of sponges
2 layers of scrubbies
holes in the bottom of drawer
then my 258gph pump.
hard to get good pics of it in place because everything fits so tight.
overflow enters just like in my old w/d.

Two 45 gallon rubbermaid totes, and a 25 gallon trash can will bring you to 100 gallons. Just place the trash can inside one of the totes, and use two bulkheads to connect the two totes. It will also help you to maintain a constant level in one section if you wish to use peat, or other medias that need to be in high flow, constant submersion.

Good work although i think you can improve it if i'm not mistaken in what i see in your pics.

Add some media that will remain 'wet'. Right now if what i see is right i dont see any submerged media which is essential in a wet/dry setup.

This way your beneficial bacteria colony is stronger
