Nope, the meaning behind W/D is to expose the bacteria to air when it flows threw the media. I would think that if you were to submerge the media, it would defete the purpose of the bio tower.Add some media that will remain 'wet'. Right now if what i see is right i dont see any submerged media which is essential in a wet/dry setup.
if i get you,depends on the setup.Is it better to have More going into it than being returned ?
