Add some media that will remain 'wet'. Right now if what i see is right i dont see any submerged media which is essential in a wet/dry setup.
Nope, the meaning behind W/D is to expose the bacteria to air when it flows threw the media. I would think that if you were to submerge the media, it would defete the purpose of the bio tower.

I know alot of people submerge there media, but unless it is above the water with water falling on it's not a W/D, just a sump with a large amount of bio media and mechanical filtration. Either will be a good filter.

Hello

Sorry to sound thick, but how exactly does this kind of filter work, And is this better than a Canister.

I have seen these type of storage drawers and wondered if you could use the whole rack as huge filter.

Its amazing to see how much you have learned, compared the old post that just got bumped :). I'm gona go back and read some of my old posts.

ok thanks.

this gives me loads of ideas. I could used this on a Pond aswell.
Just get a 4tier tower and place different medias in each draw. And put that into a Large Blue Chemical Bin you get from a Builders merchant.
They Hold around 200 gallons each. think of the fish i could have with a filter that size. :nilly: :naughty:

i have plenty of pump pumps to make in/out flow.
Is it better to have More going into it than being returned ?
