is 77F the setting on your heater or it's the reading off the thermometer?
if it's the setting on the heater than the actual temperature could be higher when your lights are on, remember you have like 400W of lights right? that can increase the temperature of the water a bit.
You can probably go down to 75F, I know someone had a shoal of macs and he kept temperature at 75F (if remember correctly) to reduce aggression.

That tank is so beautiful. makes me want to plant my tank. the piraya are the icing on that awesome cake. :mwave:

Awesome set up, reminds me of my old Piranha tank. I keep asking my self why did I give my piranha away and sell the tank? Now I am looking to get back into the action!
