Holy crap! I hope things work out.

wtf i hope it survives, such a beautiful fish

Danm guys... This fish is strong... He looks ok now. His colors are crap and showing some stress bars but he IS breathing and he IS swimming and staying upright on his own now.

When I got the fish it had a layer of ice on top of his water! I was pissed right then! Then I regrouped and spilled him and the water out into the styro he came in. No movement whatsoever! I took it downstairs and ran airline tubing from my other FH tank and began running water over his gills and stuck the tube in his mouth. He took a breath and gasped for air! I was excited after that. I slowly about every 10 mins ran water into his mouth via airline tubing for about 30 seconds each time. He slowly started breathing but wouldnt stay upright. I put a big airstone in and propped him against is hoping the air would pass his gills. After about 2 hours of holding him and running the water in his mouth he began breathing steady. After about 3 - 4 hours he began swimming around his styro. He now looks alert and fairly colored up compaired to before. I will continue to give fresh tank water for another hour or so and then let him go into his tank.

Sorry for the novel here but this was the first time I have ever gotten a fish to recover from anything like this...

The fish box had a heat pack in it but it was done incorrectly. The styro was sealed shut so no air could get in making the heat pack useless. Heat packs NEED oxygen to work so hole need to be put in the styro right under the heat pack! When I took the pack out it was ice cold and about 10 mins of it sitting on my table it got hot from the air...
