Just do as I did and use painters plastic to seal off the room your doing the build in. A respirator from Sherwin Williams is only about $25. Sweetwater Epoxy is very easy stuff to work with. The more steps and processes and complicated you make things there is greater chance of something going wrong.

exactly..

I'm in the process of the painters plastic room right now..:D

I did my 8' X4'X3' with 1/8 abs sheet. Similar to acylic but twice the strength and 1/3 the price.

Acrylic has its benefits as well though. For example, much less concern down the road of acrylic breaking down from UV light which is a common problem of ABS (longterm).

About your fume concern: I can't say about other epoxies, but Pondarmor is totally safe. I was using it in a totally sealed environment where the slightest amount of fumes is a huge problem, but the Pondarmor was fine. It has no fumes.

Any photos of your tank with the ABS sheets? What kind of window and how did you seal it?

Thanks

Here's my build. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85132

With the glass I just placed a 2X3 on top of the plywood with abs and the glass goes on the inside of the 2X3. The glass is sunk in and the 2X3 nailed to the ply wood holds the pressure. Sealling is the same as the other corners (joins) goop-tilting
