In my experience keeping plecos with fan tailed goldfish never ended well. They always sucked the slime coat off of them. I would advise not to put them together.
Thanks for replies. Actually I removed my plecos. but you know goldfish eat and poop like cows. My tank needs pleco. Even small ones suck their body. Redecorating and changing the fish till mid march for the new year. Maybe not.
iv always ahd a pleco with my goldfish way back and had no problems. on occasion id see them try and suck on their slime but teh goldfish would jsut swim away it was never pursuid

I keep plecos in my goldfish tank and never had a issue. I feed quite a bit though. The plecos love Saki Hikari. I try to keep a open sandy area with mild current for the goldfish. The plecos normally don't harass the Goldie's when they are out in the open. The plecos stick to the side with driftwood and stronger current. I'd probably stick to smaller plecos though.
My tank is 90G and bare bottom. but the problem is that even 1" pleco stick to them. even i got one small catfish(i dont know their name) and he was chasing 3" goldfish. beside that goldfish are very dump. they eat their own waste.
