Thanks swarm and Buckdog :)

I've noticed there seems to be a lot of folks in Brisbane building really nice ply tanks. Has it been like that all along or is it just something that came along recently?

I was going to do a glass tank originally but didn't like the price of the glass. So that's what turned me to plywood construction.

I got my inspiration from this site for my plywood tank, but they were people in USA building them.

I don't recall seeing any aussie builds ??

Awesome project and set-up

I'm sorry if this has already been addressed (I'm exhausted and reading comprehension seems to be escaping me), but I was curious how you acheived the 10' length. Most of the plywood builds I have seen are limited to 8' since thats the dimesions of plywood sheet. Were you able to find a larger sheet of ply, or did you have to combine 2 pieces to get to 10', and if so how did you handle that joint?

Thanks!

I was able to purchase a plywood sheet 3050mm (10ft) x 1220mm (4ft) x 18mm and it was trimmed to 3000mm x 1200mm. :naughty:

Good to know. I guess I'll just have to do some searching when I finally buy a house and start my own build :D Well done!
