Who wouldn't want a monster snail. I was going it to get three. One for the 125, 75, and cube. They would have been awesome. Just wish I knew it was the right snail. Otherwise I would be back to my original problem.

You need both sexes for them to reproduce

Plus most types lay eggs above the water line so it's easy to see and remove them.

That monster snail from FL is also an invasive. The state asks that anyone finding them destroy them immediately. And, if anyone finds egg masses that they crush them to destroy the eggs.

well if thats the case definitely wont get them
 
I don't believe they are non native we have a bird called the snail kite that feeds solely on apples snails and I have never heard of them being invasive although there are some invasive snails coming through florida currently

even though they are native I think it is illegal to bring them across state lines
 
A permit is required to ship P diffusa across state lines. However, no permits have been approved since the law passed in 2006. All other species of Pomacea are illegal to ship across state lines.
