Yeah I have 6 of them. A far cry from monsters, but they will get there.

i like growing them up myself.. mine were your size about 1.5 years ago and now some are 7-8 inches..fronts do grow slow but when they have their growth spurts they make up for lost time.. This is a pic of a couple of them in april 2006 and now last nights picture

Yes it was a terrible loss. I'm not sure how old he was. I had him for 4 years or so, and he came in around 11".
