Did a redo on the 180 g. layout. The geophagus are getting bigger and the prior scape just wasn't working out good- not enough space to sift the sand. Have been seeing some breeding behaviors out of the Biotodoma cupidos as well, so gave them lots of nooks and cranny's to possibly spawn if they so choose.

Very nice :). Is your lighting all reds or is it just the photo?
Thank you imabot imabot :)
It has a Finnex Planted Plus 24/7 light and a Current Plus Pro light. With the 24/7 mode, sometimes you will see lots of reds; and, at this moment when took picture it just happened to be at that part of its cycle.

Hey all! I was hoping some of you may be able to help me out with selecting plants for my 150 tall. It's 31 inches deep. My plan is an Amazon biotope, so I would like to stick with easy to grow plants from that region. I'd also like some advise on lighting such a deep tank.

I'm just getting back into the hobby, and have never really kept live plants before. The tank will have plenty of driftwood and some river stones. As far as stocking goes, I'm still deciding on what fish to keep, but some types of Eartheaters will definitely be included. I know this may complicate things a bit further, but I think with careful planting, using rocks/wood to protect the base of the plants, I should be ok.

Thanks
