Can't believe there are not more than the one shovel head cat on here. No pic cause they are all on polaroid, but biggest Shovel head Catfish was 89 lbs, biggest blue cat 76lbs, largest Large mouth 13 lbs, and a ton of random other fish i cannot remember

This year, in my area, I have caught an amazing 3 bass... 2 LM, 1 SM. Total weight... less than a pound. Unfortunately, in my area the bass have been overfished, and not regulated. 2 years ago, 60+ LMB over 1#, last year 40+ bass over 12 oz. I hate people that fish for bass, then keep the lunkers, rather than throwing them back.

The fish weren't all that big, but there were alot of them.
My "biggest" catch this year.
22 channel cats. I have 1 family fish fry a year, & this took care of that in 1 day.
I won't keep any others till next year.

Being from Ill also I find this pic very ugly. If those fish were legally caught which I doubt but will have to look up some regs. A person who keeps fish should know the impact of wiping out the bottom of the food chain.

I found this.

3. Statewide limits by type of fish:
(A) Channel Catfish
There are no daily creel or size limits
except in those waters listed under Site
Specific Regulations.

So you're damn lucky I can't say where you were fishing.

Dont know if this link will work, but It is a 21lb kingfish I caught in the florida keys. The fish I had on before him was a nice 5 foot wahoo...on mono...... had it alongside the boat, but just as we were about to gaff it it turned its head and sliced the line to freedom..... after a 25 minute fight
