Try wedging a sponge in between the PHead and the glass. I have pumps and PVC that vibrate against the sides due to flow, a biosponge works well. Sometimes a sponge is provided.

There is 10" X 10" sponge between the PVC and wall in this pick, the pump is 2400 GPH, and the sponge dampens very well.

I think it's because I put both at the same side.. I took them out yesterday & tested 1 by 1.. the other one seemed to vibrate too, just not as loud..
I'll be doin my tank maintenance tomorrow & change the powerhead positions.. will see how it goes..

Take it back and get a new one. If you can hear it imagine how it sounds to the fish...
LoLz -- You mean how it FEELS to the fish. Fish generally don't have ears. I know stonefish/toadfish are an exception to this rule and have ears. I think aquatic mamals like whales also... There may be more exceptions tot his rule but your average fish don't have ears and can only feel vibrations.

If it's touching the side of the tank at all, that may be the cause. If it just makes that noise in general, yes, get a new one.
LOLOLOL You can't attach it to your tank without having it touching your tank man. Obviously you don't suggest he sticks it on the floor of the tank or hang it from the ceiling... so it's going to touch the SIDE of this tank.

I have had many powerheads and some are noisy some are not. Even identical models from the same company. However tonight I encountered a new problem. I hold the power head NEAR the glass of the tank and the buzzing eases in... then I move it away and it eases out gradually. It's crazy.
