Premade sump?

If you buy one made its probably $500 ish...

If you go the diy route the others are suggesting you will save $$

Why are you going away from the fx6 or are you just adding?
Well. Because I'm curious as to if it wont be enough. I added new fish. I know have my 8" albino aro, a 7-8" ngt datnoid, and now just added 2) 5" BDxHEN ray pups.

Ahh, can always add another... you probably missed the sales, Black Friday n such.. Marineland canisters on amazon are cheap...

Watch ur water quality... I have probably too much filtration....

I’ve never built a diy sump... it’s on my list...

I’ve bought 3... 2 of those pro clears and this...

If you go the diy route, pretty sure you have to buy an overflow box or drill ur tank...

Good luck!

The one I mentioned above, a75 gal tank, was used as a sump to filter about 500 gallons in tanks.
This is it below.

It had a biotower filled with lava rock as biomedia

and used filter socks as mechanical media

There was plenty of room for heaters, pumps and extra bio media in the form of old bio wheels, and containers of gravel.
Whenever I wanted to do a water change, there was plumbing running outside, so by closing a valve (instead of water going to the sump, it was sent outside to the garden, and plumbing setup to send new water to the sump. This made water changes quick and easy.

Hey guys I was curious as to if anyone knows a good premade sump I could use for my 360 gallon tank. Most the ones I see seem to "look" like something for a salt tank. I dont know sumps a whole lot. Thankyiuuuuu

I think others gave good options from a simple tank turned to sump and there are an nth number of premade out there. Other than wet-dry, many premade sumps are catered to reefer/marine tanks to control water height and personally I think are very functional and look nice IF you like that stuff. It doesnt mean you cannot use for freshwater but you dont need it. I have the Bashsea and I think FTD have those.

If you decide to use a sump you will want to consider how you will run the drains and return water to the tank. Regardless what sump you get you will need to have a plan for that. Also, having a tank in the garage or basement is one thing, but you'll want to make sure it runs quiet if it sitting in the main living area and dont want it to sound like toilet. Do some research and ask more questions here. If you've not run before you'll want to think through. Not hard, just needs a little planning.
