Product Review: Makers Mark Bourbon

Man I love loving bourbon and living in Louisville, Kentucky! Not to mention that my parents and I work for Brown Forman (Woodsford Reserve, Early Times, Jack Daniels and others) so free cases of liquor never gets old!


Makers is good but Im going to have to go with Woodford as being my favorite. Knob Creek is great too.

I have never seen the Gold bottle, is it a premium product from them? Also, I believe that they aren't using wax anymore, the stuff on top feels like thermoplastic.

yea the gold is a premium product and its 90 proof around here a fifth of the regular makers mark is $22 and the gold one is $35

Aweee man.. you are talking my style... I love Makers on the rocks or my favorite is Makers Mark and Ginger Ale. MMmmmmm.... I got to pour me a glass now.

I have never seen the gold wax one. I got to hit up my Bev&More. If not, the warehouse shop. You got me all curious about it now.

Edit: I just read that the Japanese bought up all the cases of the limited edition run of Makers Mark Gold Seal. Is this true?

Also the gold seal found now is the same as the red, but it can be personalized. The real 101 proof makers mark gold seal has been discontinued like 10 years ago but some can be found on auction sites. Dont tell me this is true.

i dont know if they bought it all up ive only seen it at one store and they had about 4 fifths of it
