Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I could really wright it about 1000 more times but you get the jist. I am now going to do my tank like this. To think I was going to settle for a stock tank because I thought my dreams of a frame with a liner could not include a viewing window anyway. Now I have seen some one successfully make my "dream" come true, I can show my hubby and hopefully get on with the plans. I am going to read thru your thread one more time before I ask you any questions, but is it okay to ask some questions when I do start my build. I am going to do a diy filter too, to customize all my needs. I have quite a messy bunch of fish on my list, and diy is really going to be the only way to go about the filter, plus I actually like the look of the pvc, and it will also be use in decor for knife fish to use as home, while still being safe for rays, should they "bump" it. I am calling around to price my glass window right now, as I think that will probly be the most expensive element of the tank part. What other suggestions can you give before I actually begin purchase. I am definately blue printing first, once I get home and take measurement of the area. I am moving my 2 150 gallons to my room so my new project will be in the livingroom, (so it will have more room, we are directly on slab so no worry about weight). Your thread has refueled my excitement about doing a build. thankyou again, and btw wonderful tank! How is it doin now. I am subscribing to this thread, so plz post more pics as you take them!!!!!!!

I think I might have to try this.... Did you consider gluing the liner to the plywood to prevent wrinkles? I spent most of my work day going over this in my head and I think if you glue liner to each piece of wood before construction and then silicone all the seams it could come out really nice with no wrinkles. It's a fantastic looking tank regardless you just got me thinking.

What would be a suitable product to use to glue the liner to the plywood?

Hi,
I really like your plan - great looking tanks!

I just got a piece of glass (I think anyway) and I'm researching different methods of building a plywood tank. I really like your design and was wondering if you had any updates.

Where are good places to buy 40 mil pond liner? Not to hijack the thread, but I'm searching and looking for any other threads, info either good or bad regarding using a pond liner...

Thanks!!!!
