Gnarly chompers… this guy recently threw a bit of a fit when i tried switching his pellet brand so he killed 2 heaters. 1 was in a pvc cage and he bit the exposed cord toasting it out. 2nd one was uncaged due to my own negligence and he crushed right through it. Had fun kicking myself as i netted out glass over a few days. 2 new caged heaters added, back to his preferred pellet brand, and hes back to his normal self after a cple weeks. If theres something youve been lazy about over the years… take care of it lol… got lucky on 2 counts of this guy not being electrocuted.

he’s def. A sleeper… dopey and slow until hes not. I regularly catch him nawing on the 1.5” pvc heater covers. Can hear him snapping at the giant danio school now and again also.

I just realized you have giant danios in there Lol I never noticed them until you mentioned it.

Theres 17 or so that have made it 3yrs so far. They do a good job of pellet clean up and turd detail … hes lived with a cple 8” pink tail chelacus over the yrs. They both lasted around 3-4 yrs before he finally caught and ate them. Pretty amazing due to their speed. There hard to even net in a larger tank.
