Pump for fluidized bed

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I guess it's all in who you ask.......

I don't run 1 Ap100, I run 3. Does rebuilding them suck? Yup, but just like anything from the toilet you flush to the car you drive EVERYTHING needs upkeep. Unless you're rich and can afford a $600 air pump to meet specs of the AP 100.

Ask Didysis what he runs for return pumps - he runs stuff others hate cause of the same thing that happened with him and the AP100 - (had one or 2 and they failed quickly) while they seemed to work for him just fine. His Jabeos lasted and he's happy with them. Trev tried them and hated them.

Trev likes his pondmaster hydrive submersable return pumps. Had a few for years and loved them. I had 2 and they both failed shortly after the 1 yr warranty. For me to keep them going they had to be tore down and descaled every 3 months. I lost it and smashed one of them. I personally hate them, yet I still use a few of the smaller Magdrives.

Look at cars.... Everyone drives different stuff and have stuff they like and stuff they hate while the next person mite be the exact opposite.

Like farts - it's said everyone likes their own best.

If sound is the problem, don't count out airpumps. As long as the pressure is correct, linear piston air pumps are nearly silent (at least in comparison to all the water noises coming from a large tank).

Looks spot on to me mate. Aggitating extremely well, far better than mine does but i use K3

You can use a pump, just be sure to put a ball valve on the line to control the pressure through the bed chamber. The media should just barley kick around to be effective
