Putting tanks in Bedroom...is it bad?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i currently have 3 tanks running in my bedroom and the sound of water is very relaxing especially when you are trying to sleep.

unless you have so much humidity and water is dripping from the ceiling and giant tufts of mold keep growing all over the place i really dont think its gonna be an issue, ive had tanks in my room off and on almost my whole life

I live in a very dry region and I have a 140 gallon in my room. The humidity is usually less than 20% which isn't very high so I wouldn't think that humidity is an issue unless you already live an a very humid place with a lot of tanks in your room.

I have a 15,000 gallon tank in the middle of my house. My bed is 8 feet from my tank.I here the water when I want to.Your mind blocks the water running after a while.I have a hard time to sleep if there is no tank in my bedroom.I design the acav to take out the humidity.Works perfectly.

I have a 75 in my bedroom and never had a problem....

There's an LFS where I live where, when its cold, the windows in the place are covered in condensation and the water is constantly beading down the windows and pooling on the floor. I'd imagine they'd have mold and mildew problems all over the place as well.

I have kept a 55 three feet from my bed for a few months now. This is actually the first semester I can recall where I have not been ill at all.

There are no detriments, but humidity does weigh-down airborn particles. That is why you get more sick in the winter than in the summer. However if mold becomes a problem, humidity has the opposite effect.

i personally think its healthty it keeps your mind at ease and help enhance sleep. also should keep some plants round your room it will help filter the air and keep it clean. i find it no problem
