PVC pipe Glue COMPLETELY Safe for fish?

Wow. I thought I was the only one to almost die doing that. Ive done some stupid things with fish, including spray painting in a small enclosed room, but that was the worst thin I have ever done. My lungs hurt for like 6 hours.
