Well you do get 2 hours of Di caprio being handsome and charming before the big event so it might still be worth 3 hours of your time even if I Did give away the surprising plot twist at the end.

I'm not surprised, but tonight was meant to be Star Wars night and my wife is too tired to watch it supposedly. What a scam to make me watch titanic.

Nah, star wars is a bit meh for my liking. If you want to watch an absolute outstanding movie though, and it was mentioned earlier, you really need to see The Revenant, again with Leo Di Caprio. The best movie i've seen in a long long time.

I actually like Di caprio as an actor, he's usually in good movies. The Revenant does look good, I will add it to the list. Another good movie I just watched is uncut gems, I didn't know Adam sandller was actually a serious actor too.
I used to love Star Wars but the early 2000s prequels killed it for me, I just think its a movie that everyone should at least see once but now my wife has not live up to her end of the bargain.

I just watched the LOTR trilogy again, friggin amazing.

I can't do with Adam Sandler, not funny one bit imo, but I was actually surprised with uncut gems, it's not bad, maybe he needs to stay away from comedy. At least you and your wife can sit down and watch a movie together. I'm into good thrillers and horrors, which she hates, and my wife is into romantic chick flicks, which I hate. In the 12 years i've been with her I can only remember one film we've watched together and that was Avatar, and that scared her!!

Yeah they're great movies. I love a good fantasy blockbuster with all the CGI stuff.

The mandalorian and Rogue one were amazing in my opinion. Proper StarWars feel

The thing is with the star wars franchise now is that even if I did want to watch them all, which order would you watch them in to get the proper storyline? They've just gone back and forth that many times. And then you've got old gimmicky special effects from the 70's intermingled with modern day super CGI.

Basically episode 1, 2 ,3 (prequels), rogue one, 4, 5, 6 (sequels) then disney's 7 - 9. That's why I love rogue one, modern cinematography and stellar directing with some "old school" looking effects such as practical makeup and animatronics

I'm not an Adam sandler fan either which is why I was so pleasantly surprised by uncut gems.
For me and my wife music is the big point of difference with us, total opposite in what we like, a long car trip can get very tense sometimes. with movies we do have different tastes but generally take turns to pick the movie, I share your preferences but if something's too violent or tense I just watch it by myself.

Haha, don't get me going about car journeys. If my missus is driving she doesn't like me travelling with her, i'm not a good passenger let's say. If we are going out for tea or taking the kids out we take two cars now, haha. And music? My missus is into music like her films, bland. My music is "too shouty and noisy", as she puts it.

In fact we don't have that much in common yet we're very happy. Strange.
