The foot print of the cube has led, I believe, to the two batches intermingling. Which to me is hilarious because each pair is now guarding the others fry from the producer.
The rainbows are such cool fish. The color change when they spawn is very pretty. When I first kept these I was under the impression that they were peaceful lol. They didn't work out for me in severely uninformed early days of fish keeping. I want to try again after seeing this. Great fish man
Went to a LFS over lunch and picked up 3 Xiphophorus hellerii. 1 male and 2 females. I will post pics when I get them added to the 60g. I plan to remove the harlequin rasboras.
Great minds think alike eh lol. I was literally just searching around Google for largest growing species of swords and came across selectaquatics.com
The owner is Greg Sage. I haven't tried him personally (yet anyways) but Corey from aquarium co-op had a fish room tour with him that I just watched. On his website he some nice fish. Check out his swords and xenotoca. I'm also curious about his fertilizer that he has for sale
1 month update. The fry are starting to look like miniatures of their parents. Their body shape is changing from torpedo like to more deep bodied with a 1/4in length. I added a second sponge filter to the tank.
