Looking closer I realized there was a HUGE size difference.
The tiniest Fry were almost invisible against Black Sand and
or swarming with large Blond Fry.
At a distance it is very easy to underestimate because of this.
Up close the smallest become more noticeable
but only when they move.
Today ~ 40-50 Fry, 36 days old, eat & seem healthy.
Biggest can eat small frozen Brine Shrimp.
Smallest, like new Fry, still can only eat fine pureed BS.
However, it's a far cry from 100.
Parents won't eat a new born Guppy.
Doubtful HOB Filter sucked them all up, no Fry were detected there.
Next batch, sponge & well strained canister filters will be used.
My hunch is the very smallest died early.
Day 3 after wiggler stage I estimated 90-100 Fry.
Day 4 there seemed way less.
Should extremely fine pureed BS be fed @ Day 3?
Probably not, the 1st batch didn’t need feeding till Day 10.
But early die off could've been missed as they hid past Day 3.
So next batch l'll feed a little @ Day 3.
But likely the smallest are doomed for genetic or other factors.
Can't tell from video if eggs are all the same size.
