Rams not growing?

After my insomiac attack last night and staying up for all but an hour before my alarm went off I was staring at my fish tank and realized my rams really aren't growing. I have 6 of them, and one demasoni. The demasoni I can tell has definately gotten bigger, he doesn't seem to be the bully of the tank most of the time (they seem to be taking turns). Is there any other possible reason for this? I checked my water levels and they were al in the okay range. Any suggestions? I want my little guys to grow into something beautiful. Also, they seem healthy as far as everything goes, just tiny still :(

how big are they currently? i hear they max at 3", and that's probably just for the males. Maybe you have all females.

usually 2 inches is max.

When I was breeding rams they slowed WAY down after 1.5 inches,.
 
Yah I've had tons of ram's I ve had a few that have gotten to 3 inches or so, but mine all grew slow. The only Ram I've ever owned that grew big was a bolivian ram, they get bigger then your german/blue/gold rams
 
are we talkin Microgeophagus ramirezi and Pseudotropheus demasoni. i hope not hahahaha. please tell me i am wrong. if they are in the same tank thats why your rams wont grow.
 
Rams are Central American and demasoni's are African Lake Malawi if I am not mistaken. What is the dH of your water? What is the ph at? Is it set up for the rams or the demasoni?

Ram’s water parameters are as follows pH 5-6, dH 5-12, temp. 80-86 F

Demasoni's pH 7.6-8.6 GH 7 plus KH 10-12, temp 73-82

Also the diets are different demasoni's mainly vegetarian algae and the like

Rams like a bit more fish protein in the diet although both can suffer from bloat. Feed sparingly and skip one day a week feeding helps that.

I don’t know if this could be the growth problem mine grow slowly as well but the water parameters can not be right for both fish. Not to mention the dietary problems.

I have the PH set for the rams, cause from what I've heard and read they're a LOT more tempermental than the Demasoni. I have Omega One flakes that I feed them both, they always seem hungry (the little buggers)

Again, as I said, they seem healthy otherwise, just that they're going REALLY slow...
